(DELMARVA NEWS NOW) — There are currently two Tropical storms formed along the U.S. east coast, with potential impacts for Delmarva.
Tropical Depression Six formed on Monday. It’s currently positioned about 300 miles off the coast of North Carolina with winds sustained at 35 miles an hour. National Hurricane Center forecasters predict that the storm will remain off at sea, not having direct landfall in the United States. However, Tropical Storm Warnings are in effect hundreds of miles off of Delmarva’s coast, and we may see increased rip currents at Delmarva beaches.
Tropical Storm Dorian is currently positioned southeast of Puerto Rico with maximum sustained winds of 50 miles an hour. A landfall is projected for Wednesday, with landfall in Florida predicted for late Saturday.
