PRMC to Test Body Temperature Scanning Device

Salisbury’s Peninsula Regional Medical Center will test the OneScreen GoSafe Device, which will assist with visitor and patient screening, as the hospital continues to take measures to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

The hospital’s Hanna Outpatient Center will test the body temperature scanner, which can quickly take and display body temperatures in a non-invasive, no-touch manner.

Officials say if the technology proves successful it may be implemented on a wide scale basis including at sister facility Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford.

PRMC officials stress that this does not change the hospital’s visitation limitations at this time.
