In his sixteenth modification to his COVID-19 state of emergency delectation, Delaware Governor John Carney is making changes intended to ease difficulties placed on teachers and students.
The Governor waived school hourly attendance requirements for students grades Kindergarten through 12th grade. Student attendance will be calculated using records from the first day of the 2019-2020 school year to when school buildings were closed on March 13, 2020.
Requirements mandated 10-month school employees work a total of 188 full days were also suspended.
Governor Carney also waived any requirement that a student, employee or other individual be required to provide an official school transcript for 90 days.
