Salisbury University officials have announced the cancellation of over two weeks of classes in response to concerns over COVID-19, or the Coronavirus.
In accordance with guidance from the University of Maryland System, SU will cancel classes for Thursday and Friday, giving Professors time to prepare for online-only instruction. Spring Break takes place the week of March 16. Then for the weeks of March 23 and March 30, instruction will be delivered online only.
University officials asked students to “take with them all essential belongings, including medications and other materials, in case it should become necessary to implement step two of the guidelines, which may include restricting access to campus for an extended time.”
SU’s statement also said they discourage students, faculty and staff from international or domestic travel at this time.
